TradingView chart on Ideal Trade: when to use Light and when to use Advanced

Cristiano PereiraTrading since 2017 · updated on 10/29/2026

In 30 seconds

  • The Ideal Trade terminal has two charts: Light, which was already there, and Advanced, with TradingView charts.
  • Light loads fast and is the one to use with the robot, on simpler computers and on your phone.
  • Advanced brings 100+ indicators, drawing tools and more timeframes for manual analysis.
  • A better chart does not replace money management: start on a demo account.

Binary options are banned or restricted for retail traders in many countries, including the EU, the UK, Australia and Canada. In the United States, they are only allowed on regulated exchanges. Check the rules where you live before opening any account.

The Ideal Trade terminal now has two charts: Light, which was already there, and Advanced, with TradingView charts. You pick one in the chart selector, and your choice is saved to your account.

A lot of people think they need a chart packed with features to trade well. You don't. What protects your balance is money management. But if you already have a method and like to study price calmly, you just got one more tool.

In this article I show you what changes between the two charts, when to use each one and how to turn on Advanced.

What the Advanced chart is

Advanced uses TradingView's Advanced Charts library, the same family of charts many traders already know. Inside Ideal Trade, it gets the live price of the same asset you are trading.

What you get:

  • 100+ built-in indicators, such as moving averages, , and .
  • Drawing tools: lines, and , Fibonacci, rectangles and notes.
  • More timeframes: besides 1 tick, 1, 5 and 15 minutes and 1 hour, also 2, 3, 10 and 30 minutes, 2, 4 and 8 hours and 1 day.
  • Your trade marks: entry, entry price and result show on the chart, for manual and robot trades.

The drawings and indicators you set up are saved in your browser. Come back tomorrow and everything is still there.

Light or Advanced: which one

Both show the same price. The difference is what each one does well.

Situation Chart to use
You are starting out and want clarity Light
The robot is running Light (or Room mode)
Simpler computer or phone Light
You want to analyze with indicators and drawings Advanced
You want bigger timeframes, in hours or days Advanced

Light is the default. It loads fast and is light on your browser. That is why it is the one to use when the robot is on: less running on the screen, less chance of getting in the way.

Advanced is for manual analysis. If you already know what you are looking for on the chart, it gives you the tools. If you don't, more indicators just mean more noise.

More indicators is not more accuracy

Here is the trap. With 100 indicators at hand, the temptation is to the screen and wait for all of them to agree.

That doesn't happen. And when it seems to, the entry is already gone.

  • Pick a few indicators and understand what each one measures.
  • Draw only what changes your decision: support, resistance and the trend. The rest is decoration.
  • The chart doesn't decide your trade size. Your money management does. See money management for binary options.

A beautiful chart with bad money management still blows accounts.
